Either Britney Spears really wants to be free from father and conservator Jamie Spears, or someone is doing their best to impersonate the pop star in a recording making the rounds on the Internet.
The friction between Britney and her dad has been no secret so far this year. In late February, Jamie Spears - who controls all of his daughter's affairs - reportedly went ballistic on Britney got her hands on a prepaid phone and was dialing up Adnan.
The recording is allegedly a voicemail from Britney, asking a lawyer to help her out with her case against her father and the conservatorship currently in place. In the a message allegedly left by Britney Spears, worrying that daddy Jamie might take the kids from her.
A source close to the conservatorship says that really is Brit's voice, telling OK!, "It's the real deal. This is what convinced Jamie to go back to court to have the restraining orders reinstated against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib."
On the tape, she says:
"Hi my name's Briney Spears. I called you earlier. I'm calling again because I just wanted to make sure that during the process of the eliminating the conservatorship that my father has threatened me several times, that you know, he'll take my children away. I just want to be guaranteed that everything will be fine with the process and that you guys are taking care of everything, that things will stay the same as far as my custodial time. That's it, bye."
The tape, which celebrity gossip photo and news source JFXonline claims was recorded on January 21, 2009, sounds like a message left for a lawyer. No one knows who the lawyer is for sure, but TMZ believes that it's the dude who's been meddling in Britney Spears' affairs for about a year now.
Jamie is also in the process of trying to shut down a fan site of Britney's for reasons unknown. Is he ruling with an iron fist or just doing what he needs to?
This sounds like a job for someone to SAVE BRITNEY!
That part is just our theory. But in the voicemail - if it's legit - Britney Spears or someone who sounds like her talks about ending the conservatorship ...
